Empowering the next generation of changemakers—on stage and beyond

Each year, we honor exceptional teen volunteers whose contributions strengthen our community and enrich our productions. The Excellence in Service Promotion Award recognizes young people who demonstrate:

• Commitment to community service
• Growth in public speaking and leadership
• Responsibility, reliability, and follow-through
• Artistic engagement as actors, backstage contributors, or in our important hospitality roles

Whether mentoring peers, assisting with events, or stepping into the spotlight, these volunteers help us expand the range of stories we tell and the voices we uplift.

Annual Award Total: Up to $2,000

If multiple youth are selected, the total award will be divided among recipients, not to exceed $2,000. We announce the awardee(s) and deliver a check in April or May so the teen may use the funds for post-secondary education (although not a condition for consideration).

This award is made possible by generous donors who believe in the power of youth, the arts, and service. Your support helps us cultivate confident, compassionate leaders—and more inclusive productions.

There are five levels of patronage. A patron helps the theatre through guaranteed funds early in the season. In return, you will receive:

• two tickets to each of the four main shows (additional $15 for Opening Night Gala)
• early access to seat selection
• free dessert and a non-alcoholic drink
• recognition in our playbill
• voting privileges at the annual business meeting

Each year, we bring the magic of live theatre to local children through a one-week residency with the Missoula Children’s Theatre. Professional artists travel from Montana to lead students in a full-scale production—complete with costumes, sets, and lights. After just five days of rehearsals, the cast performs two shows for the community. Students who prefer to stay behind the scenes learn to run the technical booth, controlling the lights and sound that shape the audience’s experience.

In 2025, registration was $75 per child, with fee waivers available for families with limited resources. Your donation helps us cover artist fees and ensure that every child—on stage or behind the scenes—can take part in this unforgettable week of wonder.
